View Full Version : Project 64 Emulator Problem

I've had the project 64 emulator for a awhile now and ive been tinkering with the settings a little. I turned anistropic and anti aliasing to max, and my fps, and sound quality went down in the game, especially in fullscreen. I found out it was the anti aliasing. If you dont know what it does it simply makes jagged lines on objects and sprites in game a lot smoother looking. But i can't understand why my computer cant handle it to run smooth, and no I don't have anything else running while i'm playing. :confused:

Here our my computers specs:

Windows XP Service Pack 3
AMD Athlon(tm) Processor
1.3 GHz, 512 mb of RAM
NVIDIA GeForce2 MX/MX 400

Here are the N64 Roms I have with Anti Aliasing and Anistropic Maxed:

Super Mario 64: Plays fairly good in fullscreen

Star Fox 64: Plays ok in fullscreen and the sound quality is pretty poor.

Super Smash Bros: Very slow in fullcreen and sound quality is bad.

Rayman 2: The Great Escape: Plays fairly bad in fullscreen and the sound quality is pretty poor.

Any kind of help would be nice! :)

Your video hardware has little support for anti-aliasing.
Such are extra features that will just burden emulation with new tensity.

If you hear sound stuttering this would be that speed is below a 100% ratio. If you aren't playing the game at full speed, sound rate goes down with it.

Full screen is also intensive.
