Hello,

I have a problem with Banjo Tooie in Project 64 1.6. The Game freezes every 20 minutes or so at a random moment. Besides, things like paths, grass or other things on the ground seem to appear and then dissapear again the whole time.

Is there anyone I can do?

ragards,
Arjan

First there is a public update for the 1.6 Project64.rdb file with a couple change notices for Banjo-Tooie--both concerning stability.

Replace that file where Project64.exe is with the update here.
http://www.pj64-emu.com/downloads/func-startdown/109/
(It is archived in ZIP compression with other related files.)

better to install the latest RDB from the pj64 emutalk board.

uh right how could I forget
I never really finished getting used to Smiff's sudden disappearance. :D

If poster of this thread wants Banjo-Tooie more stable, the public RDB update here can suffice.

Well if he saysBesides, things like paths, grass or other things on the ground seem to appear and then dissapear again the whole time. Then surely something's up with his graphics plugin or his graphics drivers could be old.

I can live with the graphics error. I just need the freezes to be over. I'll try the rdb file.

yes Banjo-Tooie is also reported to be unstable but figured the RDB stability update would affect the issue

Internal problems have been fixed in the beta version, which might not be an option for you?

The only way that has been published on fixing this is to use the 0.8.5 EXE of 1964.

If you want to continue using Project64 1.6's re-compiler, I think you may find using save states (F5 to save and F7 to restore) will help back up your progress in case of a crash.

Also I forgot, do you use cheats like if you hit Ctrl+C are any of those codes enabled
