Pretty simple problem, I hope. I'm using the newest version of Project64 with Rice's 6.1.1 Beta 10 video plugin. Everything works great, except for the magic bean mounds. They don't show up. If I move onto a higher elevation they sometimes will appear momentarily, but for the most part are invisible. I started playing it with high-res textures just to maybe see if that'd help, but still no luck. Are there some specific settings I need to change to fix this?

So the patches where the beans may be planted...issue is that they usually don't show?

I'll check using RiceVideo 6.1.1.10; meantime can you state your graphics card?

Oh, hah, yeah. Integrated Intel G33/G31 Express Chipset. Bummer, I know. Everything else does look and run beautifully, though. I just can't see those damn mounds. I was messing around with it again and, as I mentioned, if I get on higher ground sometimes they will show up, but it's like the ground goes 'over top', hiding them.

The mound in Death Mountain Crater seems to show fine for me.
I used RiceVideo 6.1.1.10 and 5.9.9 to reset the config I applied.

Try editing RiceVideo6.1.0.ini using a text editor (like Notepad) from the $Project64\Plugin folder.
This text file signals per-game settings.

Search around for an entry with header "THE LEGEND OF ZELDA". You might have more than one; it's fine to replace them all.

I use the following configuration.
{/*blah depends on version*/}
Name=THE LEGEND OF ZELDA
AccurateTextureMapping=1
NormalAlphaBlender=1
NormalColorCombiner=1
PrimaryDepthHack
FrameBufferEmulation=3
RenderToTexture=2
ScreenUpdateSetting=5

If this doesn't make the mounds show, feel free to test the advanced settings (namely the minor hacks).

Go Options/Configure Graphics Plugin..., and while a game is running if upon initializing the config the "Hide Advanced Settings" option was disabled from the General Options tab, there should be options to test on the Current Game Options tab.

Hmm. I don't see any .ini files in the plugin folder. Viewing hidden files didn't make it visible. How do make the .ini visible so I can edit it?

Since you use 6.1.1.10 actually there was good chance you didn't have it. At that time the plug-in wasn't officially installed with an INI supplied for it in the same package.

There was an INI file I worked on from Rice's progress and built from there.
To get that file, actually re-install Rice's Video Plugin with an update.

One you install this plug-in, just switch to use it through Project64, and things are taken care of to just give it a try.
