I have been using Project64 for a while, and recently decided to install it on my Asus eee pc 1005HA. I downloaded and played Majora's Mask for a while, and everything seemed to run smoothly. However, I decided to try experimenting with the cheats, and now, the game runs with very low fps in windowed mode. The problem persists to other games, and I even tried installing version 1.5: no luck. The weird thing is that all of the games run just fine in fullscreen, but nevertheless, I would like to have the option to play windowed. Games run about 5-40 fps when windowed, and much faster in fullscreen. Any ideas or solutions would be greatly appreciated.
System specs:
1.6 GHz
1 Gig RAM
Intel Express 945 Video card
Thanks!

Try updating your drivers for that card through here.

Also, you saw the slower speed was introduced when you experimented with cheats, but now this was irreversibly an effect with all games?

Thank you for your quick reply! I did update the drivers, but unfortunately that had no effect.
As for the cheats: the slowdown persisted across all games (and I did turn the cheats off, of course).
Really, I'm not sure the cheats had anything to do with the slowdown, it just happened around the time I activated them.

Since you had lower speed in window mode than in full screen, I'm presuming you can also try tweaking settings in the graphics plug-in for effect.
Change GPU settings through Options/Configure Graphics Plugin....
Change plug-ins like that through Options/Settings....
