Hello everyone! I saw this problem answered elsewhere on the forum, but none of those solutions worked for me...

I'm trying to set up P64 so that I can drag and drop files and load them (i.e. launch via command line/shell integration), so that I can integrate P64 into an emulator front end.

I've tried turning on the Shell Integration in the advanced settings, and I've also tried setting Windows XP to "Always use program to open this type of file". However, whenever I try to load a file, it says: "ERROR: Attempt to open file failed."

The games load fine when I select them within the P64 drop-down list, and there are no spaces in the filenames.

I'm using P64 v. 1.6, Windows XP.

Thanks so much for any help!

Do you use a limited NT account like I do?
I wasn't able to save changes to shell integration settings to fully test with you, since I can't write to system registry...yet.

How about a batch script file?

Set this text in some file with a BAT extension, just a text document right.

PROJEC~1.EXE FILENAME.EXT
