Cant download 1.7 after I paid 20 bucks

I cant download Version 1.7.0.10 a which i assum is the latest. I paid the 20 dollars but I cant download it. Help :eek:

My friend used one from a torrent site and it had a trojan which screwed all his windows install, so i had to reinstall for him.

So to anyone reading, don't download the leaked beta. get 1.6 and wait!

Just in case anyone was wondering it is worth 20 bucks to support this project. 1.7 beta is a big improvement over 1.6. Thanks Project 64 team :)

Not to complain, but ...

I was very happy to contribute my $20 to support the effort, but I can't say I see a huge improvement between 1.6 and 1.7 for most games...

I enjoyed DR MARIO working without graphical errors and Paper Mario without graphical glitches. I sure wish someone could direct me to a guide to get Glide64_Napalm_PR1 to work to load high res textures. I downloaded the mario 64 high res textures but cant get it to work :confused:

When I try to download it now, I just go to the redirect page and it then goes loads to a blank web page. I can download certain files (I assume the ones that are not password protected), but even when logged in, it won't let me download the beta.

Any Help?

I restarted Apache .. see if that helps .. if not I will have a look at it latter tonight if I can

I simply want to note that the findings of these "blank pages" as well as some SQL issues I have found to be tied to my browser's support.

If you still do not find the beta downloads working may I recommend trying Mozilla FireFox as a web browser for this purpose?

I just paid 20$ for the beta, I am unable to see the beta downloads section period. There is no "Beta Downloads" under the downloads button or anything. I have my Transaction # and everything. but still nothing.. Tried to used multible browsers to no avail. Any other things i could try? I did however use the Contact Us link to email Zilmar. not sure if he got to view it yet. I'll continue to wait patiently.

On a second note. I get an error when i login from the main page. saying you are not authorized to view this resource. I don't get it when i login from the forums. either way still unable to view any beta information

I don't really see the point in paying for an unsettled version. Personally, as a teenager, I can't afford those things now! Sounds expensive, oh well:(

Exactly You shouldn't pay for an unstable version.

In fact you can't pay for it, but you can donate for it. If you happen to want the beta as opposed to donating for courtesy that's fine too they offered it.

I'm trying too to get the Beta version, I wish to help for bug and problem by bate testing.

I've donate a few day ago, and thinked it was going to take a few day for it to be fixed. I didn't have chance to download it yet.

It should be a great idea to add some info about it in the donation FAQ.

How many time should we expect to wait before requesting ?
Should we expect to received an email when it's will be ready ?
How will I be able to download it, step by step ? Where to click ?

hi damik - when you are logged in, when you click Downloads on the main menu do you get a submenu with "Beta Downloads" and "Public Downloads"? perhaps zilmar hasnt upgraded your account yet sorry i'll point him to this thread..

After clicking to Downloads I am redirected to the main downloads pages, with binaries, source code, and updates. I click on binaries then I get file_icons/prog.gifProject64 v1.7 beta which lead me to the donation page.

By the way the Icon for the 1.7 beta is maybe broken :D

Actually I think you are entirely wrong... First of all, many of the ROMs have stupid issues, especially with the graphics and version 1.7 has either partially of fully fixed them with many games.... second, I would not criticized the progress development unless you understand what you are even talking about, I'm not trying to bust your balls but unless you understand the complexity of the progress and how changing even the slightest bit of code can corrupt or hinder every other once working part. And finally, understand that the next release is going to be a HUGE one (I would elaborate more about it but I don't know if its allowed)

But I'd personally say that donating is definitely worth every bit of monies....;)

Did you see any payments from Wodd [perhaps it does not break the payments down by user name)? If you did, that would be me. I paid $20, but nothing seems to have happened. The payment was made on a Friday (the 24th to be exact), but my account does not seem to have changed. Tomorrow will make the payment a week behind. I would like to test the new version, but that will be extremely difficult to do if my account does not get updated [at least, according to what I read]!
