Where are the GAMES? I downloaded the emulator so that I could play N64 games. Is it to much to expect this site to have them? Or at least links to sites that do?

sorry but the ROMS as they call them, are illegal and to be found through other sites. I can recommend some sites but you have to email me at

It is against the forum rules to request roms.

Common sense here. Google is your friend. Just search, and ye shall find.

Being a newb, but I have been reading through these forums for a few days. Not to sound rude, but why the constant hostility towards other members?

If you are told to "<a href="glossary.php?<r=r">RTFM</a>" it means you are being advised to read the (something rude) manual (Project64.chm)

That's a load of crap, and Smiff's bipolar.
Oops, did I just insult someone "without reason"?
Plug-in performance is still in cases particular to the emulator. Mr. zilmar designed how multiple emulators can use one plug-in; now he gets to live with the consequence. And if this is just Smiff's/Jabo's idea--not zilmar's proposal--to decline helping with third-party plug-ins on Project64 boards, then he's just being a meanie.

You don't gotta read the ****in manual to realize it is only common sence to not go around asking "where can I find ROMs?" . To stop future requests or ROM locating questions, I suggest you put up a sticky thread emphasizing "DO NOT ASK FOR ROMS and DO NOT ASK WHERE TO GET THEM". I put that on the board I mod at and it stopped most of the requests. Just a suggestion..
If it's illegal, don't ask about it. :p

The problem is that they don't know that it is illegal.
Since the emulator is so popular, people could be coming from ROM sites that give downloads of N64 ROMs, like it's something to raffle about or legally add to your collection. They don't know better.
Of course, it's their fault for not knowing something that's possible to know, it's the sites' fault, and I've thought about your idea about having a sticky thread at the forums entitled with a message to not request them.
Mr. zilmar early on had said something about a rules thread, but I guess that was a cancellation.
The only thread on here afaik that's anything to do with rules, is Smiff's "pj64 philosophies" thread, which he started right after bashing me in Dec 2008. :)

jeez guys I at least tried to help the poor guy. He obviously is new to the forum and needs help getting around. You wouldn't like it if you were being yelled at for something you didn't know was wrong. (Yes I understand theres a TOS but some people are in a rush or are ass**** who don't follow them)
