Zelda Majora's Mask Fierce Deity Problems

Whenever I'm playing this game and I use the Fierce Deity mask he starts slashing randomly and will not stop until I somehow take off the mask, codes or not. Any ideas how to fix this?

this occurs when you have one of the Have *item* cheats enabled. though im not sure which it is.

Iirc what caused the deity to start slashing away like that is the sword replacement "Replace Sword with" cheat.

The item possession cheats worked iirc.

i didn't use that cheat at all, but that is one way for it to occur.

all i did was enable the always enable c buttons and put on the mask.
game was perfectly playable at this point until i then enabled the have cheats globally (i can't disable them currently due to a crash issue >.>)

Or you can just select the "Use C-buttons anywhere" cheat.
