PJ64 1.6
Turok 3 - Shadow of Oblivion.
Yesterday I was playing this game full screen for 3 hours nearly. Saved game as usual ( near subway tracks). Today I played Castlevania 64 for allmost 3 hours. Decide to switch back to Turok 3. It loads as shown on the bottom but then the framerate indicator drops and keeps dropping. The screen stays black and nothing ever happens. I tried exiting and reloading... no difference. I tried all Counter Factors and still nothing. Changed expansion pack mem size to 4mb, turned off AA & AF, checked plugins, checked settings... still wont run. Tried other games and they still work.

What happened? Plugins being used
Jabo D3D6 1.5.2
Jabo's DirectSound 1.6
Jabo's DirectInput7 1.6

They are what I've been using for awhile with no probs. Checked RSP CPU Core and it's set to Recompiler.. same as always. Display lists send to graphics plugin, audio is not. Graphics plugin is set to Direct3D HAL. Nothing in Advanced setting is checked.

And ideas what happend here?

This is what it does. I set it back to counter Factor 2 and 8 MB Exp. Still no change. Copied out and deleted the mempack file for Turok3 out of the saves folder, no change. Thought it was a corrupt file..

Tried it on 1964 0.99, it worked. Tried it again on PJ64 1.6 , still wont work. I went through all the settings and couldn't figure out what was causing the problem. Every other game ran fine.

Update,
Backed up save folder, ran PJ64 setup again. Tried the repair option. Don't know what it did but Turok 3 now works again. I checked all the files and none showed any modifying done. Shrug. No idea what got screwed up, at least I know how to fix it next time.

Thanks for your notes.

Crashes in the re-compiler aren't always consistent; i.e. they may be produced at random to be essential.

Iirc, the Interpreter is needed to stop these specific crashes.
