We use PJ64 V1.6 and my son likes the Hydro-Thunder game (its the only N64 game we currently have) but the sound always cuts out early in the game (or often, is completely soundless from the beginning). We use Jabo's DirectSound 1.6 (its the only default audio plugin that works for us). Our system is a Dell Inspiron 531, Windows Vista, AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 5000+ 2.6 GHz with 2 GB RAM. It has Realtek HD Audio (on-board, I assume), but currently we are using Logitech USB Speakers.

I guess my next idea may be to switch to non-USB speakers.

Any thoughts?

Thanks!

Have you tried any other audio plugin? What settings are you using to run the game? I will DL this game and check it out myself. See if I have the same problems then i'll update back here.

Hydro thunder has always had dodgy sound on project64, so yeah, try another audio plugin.

Oh yeah, for the record, changing your speakers wont make a difference. It's in the emulator, not the speakers or usb ports.
