I just downloaded Djipi's cel shaded Zelda OoT texture pack, but I have no clue how to use it. Can someone please explain to me in as much detail as possible how to get it to work? Tell me everything I need to download (where I can download the best version would be awesome too), where to put it (in the directories), etc (etc). I looked on other websites, around the forum, I do exactly what they say and it still doesn't work.

I have PJ64 v1.7.0.49
I don't know what version of Zelda I have (sorry). I know I have the European version. I would tell you where I got it, but I was banned from another forum for posting links  and I don't want déjà vu.

I'd be really happy if you help me, and I'll bake you (theoretical) cookies.

A. Wrong forum. 1.7 is beta version, and this is the public version forum.
B. Is there any reason you are using the 1.7.0.49 build? It might help to upgrade to the most recent build to get any bugfixes that could potentially be causing your problems.
C. The answer to your question also depends on where you downloaded the re-texture pack. Was it in the PJ-64 Beta forums or somewhere else online?

Woops. Should I re-post it in the 1.7 issues forum?

Okay, but this is the most recent one I could find (I'm not very good at looking). I'm not able to access the downloads section of the PJ64 site without taking an annoying survey. I downloaded my version elsewhere.

The 1.7 version isn't available to the public. Your best bet would be to download 1.6. To skip the survey, see here: http://forum.pj64-emu.com/showthread.php?t=1628&highlight=survey+download

If you're still having trouble after that, let us know and we should be able to work through it. I'd stick with the 1.6 version, it's more stable, and it's also not pirated.

Also to load the texture you need to set to use a graphics plug-in that supports the CRC-based textures convention.

Originally Rice's Video Plugin (https://ricevideo.bountysource.com/)
Also Glide64 (http://glide64.emuxhaven.net/)

So which plug-in works better for you, that you'd like to load the textures on?
And what OS you have?

I downgraded to pj64 v1.6. I downloaded Rice's Video and had it install all the things into my plugins folder, but PJ64 can't read them. When I go to options it says "the programme can't start because d3dx9_34.dll is missing". Then it says "failed to load plugin RiceVideo6.1.3DX9.dll".

Glide64, on the other hand, has a million downloads on their page and I don't know which one to get. I tried the first one and that worked not at all. I tried the second one, but to no success.

So in a way, the plugin that has worked the best for me is the pre-installed one, Jabo's Direct 3D.

I have Windows 7 64 bit.

Put the DLL file where the emulator is stored, then the plug-in should initialize.
http://www.dll-files.com/pop.php?dll=d3dx9_34
Download from there to install it.

I downloaded it and PJ64 still says it's missing from my computer.

I think I'm going to stop using 1.6 because (unusually) of the two versions I've used, it's caused the most problems.

I just wanted to play Zelda OoT with the cel shaded graphics.

Thanks for spending your time to help me.

Just pick the 6.1.4 version then when you change plug-ins.

I got it to work!!:D:D

I don't know how, and I don't care, but it works. I no longer need help.

Yeah public version rocks. You probably just needed to restart the module for it.
