I'm having an issue in GoldenEye and Perfect Dark where whenever I switch weapons the game lags for a second or two before going back to normal. The emulator speed counter on the bottom right stays at 60 fps, but the actual fps of the game drops.

Here are my specs:
Intel Core i7 920 @ 3.45 Ghz
2 GTX 280's in SLI
6 GB DDR3 1333 Ram
Windows 7 home premium 64 bit

As for the emulator, I'm using the 1.6 version with the default Jabo's plugins. The graphics plugin being Jabo's Direct3D 8.

Is there anything I can do to get rid of this lag?

Well I know both of those games use the larger compilation buffer size and are comparatively system-intensive, so it may have something to do with that.

Cheats or some graphics plug-ins might also cause that.

If I could see the issue on my end, I'd try changing the emulator RDB settings.
You can experiment with this by right-clicking a game in the browser to pick "Edit Game Settings", if advanced options (see Options > Settings... > Options tab) are not set to be hidden.

Yep, setting counterfactor to 1 fixed it, thanks a ton Squall.
