View Full Version : Future features?

Maybe these ideas could be used in the future...

A .avi recorder to record emulation to .avi files using a compressor of users choice.

Netplay client support, perhaps a FTP server to connect to play online games with instead of compiling kaillera to 1.4 or using the input TCP client.

Chksum fixer, to auto fix the chksum like nemu64 for rom hacking abilities.

Object exporter? I don't know if this will work out or not but maybe a way to export a entire map of what ever game you are emulating when running that level into a .obj file?

An AVI recorder technically is obsolete because it's more efficient to record to a specific format containing texture, commands etc. data from the ROM by user input then have a converter that will encode to AVI later when emulation isn't in process. Mupen64 for Windows supports this.

Lemmy's Direct3D and a version of icepir8's texture dumping OpenGL plug-in can dump model objects as VRML data.

NetPlay definitely a to-do.

What's a checksum fixer?
