I recently bought a PSX/N64 adapter to go with Project64. I plugged it in and the controls went haywire. Buttons randomly press, the analog stick doesn't work at all, and I can't configure it properly. Could somebody please produce a .jsf or .cpf file for the N64 controller?

this isnt caused by the emulator, its incompatibility between your controller and the adapter. suggest you try a different controller/adapter or contact the seller and explain the problem.

My controller is a third-party N64 controller. Should I bum a 1st-party controller off my friend or is the problem with the adapter (RetroBit controller, SuMoto adapter). On my N64, the controller works fine.

i'd guess it'd be the adapter then.

you need a different (genuine) controller. those adapters do not support 3rd party controllers.

The problem exists with a first-party controller, too. I am trying installing the driver that came with it; this might help.

my first post still stands, if you dont have a controller that works try to get an exchange on the adapter.
