Hello anyone.....

I'd a Problem with Project64 V 1.7 in Mala ( Fontend )
With the old Version it was no Problem to Start the Roms in Mala.
With the new ( Beta ) Version of Project64 V 1.7 the Roms does'nt start after
click on the Rom. I did'nt know whats wrong !
In the Command Line of Mala I'd get the Prefered Line..... %Path%%ROM%%EXT%
Do I need another command line ?

Thanks and have a nice Day

i think the main difference is that the old version needed quotes and the new one doesn't.. but i could be wrong about that its been a while since i used this stuff.

actually it is the other way around .. 1.6 did not needed quotes .. where 1.7 needs quotes if the file contains spaces.

this is so it gives me the possibility of having more then one parameter where the method in 1.6 makes it impossible

yes good, i knew that felt wrong when i said it, just couldn't be bothered to start up the HTPC to check how i did it :p.

so i haven't heard of Mala but your command line should probably now be "%Path%%ROM%%EXT%"

err.. windows needs quotes regardless of the pj64 version if the path has spaces.

Hello.....

1. Thank you for your Help.
2. I'd renamed the Roms without any space
3. I write in the Command line: %Path%%ROM%%EXT%
but the Result was the same. "Error ( Kernal Mistake ) , Can't load the rom

If you have another option , let me know

Best regards

did you actually add the quotes ---> ""
?

e.g.
was
%Path%%ROM%%EXT%
change to
"%Path%%ROM%%EXT%"

spaces should not matter

So......

Now I'd change the command line to

"%Path%%ROM%%EXT%"

But the Error is the same.

Maybe it doesent Work with Project64 ( new Version )

But If someone try to check this Problem...
Here is the Link to Download MALA ( the Best Fontend, I think)

alright i'll check it...

this frontend is really basic..

gah why do i have to have mame..

press 1 to launch games..

turn off annoying fades..

hmm yes no worky.

...

ok seems spaces in the executable name is what breaks it.
works for me if I put quotes around both the appname and path (in mala, doesnt seem to be possible to put quotes on appname? so just remove any spaces).

the default mala commandline "%path%\%rom%.%ext%" is actually correct for v1.7.
but mala has some problems with spaces in app path or app filename i think
anyway i got it to work, that wasnt fun though..

edit2:
tried again with clean mala setup. yes it works easily, just don't have any spaces in your exe name (why did i? because i have many exes in my pj64 dir..)

hey zilmar, what about that -fullscreen cmdline option? ;) i know we have a preference, but i dont want to save this one :)
