Screen transition is still busted in latest version of the video plugin.

See attached JPEG as example of the issue. Used (U) clean ROM.

Well there's lots of glitches in that game--I tested it completely in the beta version. One of them seems to have something to do with hardware T&L.

Even though it appears in very many places it's positioning that's challenging. If you run around the upper level of West Clock Town near the Swordsman's School and Postman's Office doors at just the right angle you might see the walls turn completely black. This only happens in the beta version; the transition glitch is one of the few glitches in this game that wasn't introduced in the beta.

It would be nice if we can compile a list of all the problems so Jabo can fix them, or at least look at them.

I was under the impression that this framebuffer bug was the only issue left in the game.....Oh well, we better bug Jabo about them then.

I might do a similar list for CBFD, since I played this game entirely through and there is some issues I missed since 1.6....

Yea this is an oldie but goodie that I had forgotten

I'm trying to slowly revamp my todo list for PJ in the last couple of weeks, which is taking shitloads of time because there is shitloads of issues and a wealth of information to page through at various places

I'll find a place for this in it, thanks kindly.

Jabo can i help with this in some way?
do you want me to use the tracker, and if so how?

Yea we need to track these (unfortunately), not to worry so much about this one in particular but as you point out we have to get in the habit of doing this on a regular basis like we use to years back.

I tend to hate tracking bugs in PJ because there just a huge amount of visual defects in various games, and if we tracked them all it would add up to hundreds, like we had in the old bug tracker I believe. But we have to start somewhere!

We just have to be careful how we rank the relative priority of issues that's all I ask, like I would rank this as low because its just a visual annoyance. Additionally let's try to make sure we qualify anything we put in the tracker, as it is the definitive record of what bugs exist along with a set of well qualified information on what the bug is. Let's leave discussion to the forums.

Mudlord obviously carries a bit of weight compared to others; so this is naturally well qualified. Hope this sounds reasonable and not douchey! :)

If someone posts a reasonable defect we should get in the habit of talking about it here, and correlating it to a ticket so everyone doesn't have to ask what the status of XYZ is as well. And I'm pleading with people who want to post defects to please for the love of god post screenshots, I don't know how to play all these fregen Pokemon and Japanese games! :D

Don't worry, I have around 12MB of Sin and Punishment screenshots for you to go through. :D

That's good, please post the information when you can. All the posts people previously did are no longer available especially since people used photobucket and such :-\

Yet another instance of probably the most common issue throughout the game seen in West Clock Town

That was taken in the fat man's challenge for the heart piece for after you destroy Grog and cleanse the cursed waters. You jump around from a center isle to one of four adjacent platforms with the torch lit.

That was taken in Stone Tower while climing through the upper labyrinth.

No graphics plugin I have tried will fix the bad curve geometry and that filling-stroke scratch.

Those are some four basic ones. I'm happy to reproduce save states if you would look into these.
