I was debating whether or not to continue posting changes or not, usually this is posted as private beta news. I like posting it publically when practical to let people not in the beta follow along with us as we work toward the next version at their leisure.

The following changes are for build 54 which was uploaded a few hours ago.

Fixed antialiasing validation for fullscreen
Added an additional texture dumping option
Major cleanup - things may be broken
1080 - frame buffer fixed
Mario Kart J - frame buffer emulation
Pokemon Snap - album works now
FIFA98 - field fixed
Jet Force Gemini - texture bugfixes
Software rendering optimization
FZERO-X - fixed overflow issue
Remove button added Texture pack picker

The one thing I'll mention is that one of our more elite beta members discovered a few minutes ago while the album in Pokemon Snap works properly now, it did manage to break other aspects of the game, there is always next time I suppose.

@Christophe Philippi
there is an incompatibility with Vista, several users have reported, which Jabo will fix as soon as he can get access to Vista to work on!
please use member forum for any more help.

Vista will very definitely be supported for the next version of PJ64. we are considering dropping support for Win98/ME... i may make a post about this actually.

A thing about pokemon snap, the "detector" that determined when something was in the frame was always broken, if thats what you think just broke (it made it impossible to register pokemon signs or to trigger in game events that required picture taking).

Maybe isn't the most wanted update, but i'd like to know if you could do some kind of 3D capture system in your video plugin, of course i've seen and tested those plugins, but most of them work on OpenGlide and most of them capture wrong the math physic, most of them doesn't export the textures and the ones who does it doesn't dump'em right, and with the one's which export maps, tiles or textures doesnt skin in the model right (not so much problem, 3DS Max can do everything) but it'll be nicer to export the scene, frame, screen as we see in the screen, and 4 good sake.. can it be dumped in a good format? VRML is cool but has a lot of errors and worst compatibility, even the .obj files are nice than those... huuu.... a'ight i really hoppe you'll read my post because is the only site i've found that keep the post working (sorry if i repeat this post, i'm not sure if the other will be answered)

No, sorry, Jabo's Dx8 reads the Multisampling methods from Dxcaps and the max Multisampling method is 4x on Nvidia and 6x on Ati

Ok, but what about DX 9?

the plugin pages the Dxcaps for the highest modes

on Nvidia its 4xMSAA
on ATi its 6xMSAA

and why would Jabo migrate his already working Dx8 plugin to Dx9, which just causes more issues in its render to texture methods... and the like.

no. Direct8 is perfectly fine at the moment.. the only better api he could use is Opengl 1.5

It works fine on my vista apart from the rare occasional bluescreens when i end emulation.
