Has there every been a single draw distance hack for the N64?

I can only find the Legend of Zelda DD hacks and they break the game. ;(

How would a person even be able to find a cheat code for something like this?

This Extended Draw Distance GS Code work on Enemies, NPC's, big boulders, small rocks, gravestones, standalone grass, signs, scarecrows and other objects. Sadly the code don't work on Link HD model, trees, bushes, butterflies, grouped grass and other objects. The good thing is that it does not breake nothing.

This code don't work on everything, but is one step in the right direction.

Odd,I just tested the Zelda code and made a tree far enough away to pop out of existence then enabled it to find the tree appear once again.
Unless you mean the left/right corners of the screen with a widescreen hack,actually due to the problem known as culling.

I used the tree near the Lon Lon Ranch section in Hyrule Field and looked at it from the wall near the Kakariko Village stairs.

I hugged the wall and stepped forward to align the camera and tested the default value (changes work in real-time on my end) and back to the code's value,this had the tree appearing when the code is in use and disappearing when the default 4608 value was set in the memory viewer.

I could hopefully attempt to find these now in a few other games. :D

Edit: Bushes are visible from extreme distances too,I keep running out of low ground and hills keep obscuring my view! LOL

Butterflies may be actor related sadly.

Had no such luck in finding any other draw distance mods in a basic search.

Its gonna take a large amount of value testing in hopes of finding it randomly in each game.
Maybe other games will at least be kind enough to have a different 46 value that causes the desired effect.

The Mario code is a great find!

Thanks for sharing!

The only issue here is that items seem to disappear when they get close to the edges of the screen.. Culling fix for this game would make it play perfect!
