View Full Version : Am I missing something? Regarding donations

Two days ago I donated $20. I got a confirmation email almost immediately. Late last night/early this morning, I got a second email saying that my payment has cleared. Is there something else I'm supposed to wait for, or should I be able to download the beta version now, because I can't?
There is no menu or beta link underneath the downloads link, and it just leads me to the same place as if I'm not logged in or not donated, to download 1.6 and a page on how to donate for 1.7.

Because of the new system accounts are created manually.
For the creator every day is busy, but I would be worried if by Monday this is unchanged.

Okay. Thanks for the fast reply!
I'm patient, I just wanted to double check and make sure I hadn't messed something up or anything. :)

Supposedly there's a new system. I think if you PM Mud he might be able to help with this? I dunno, just a guess since somebody else said it in another thread.

zilmar's not testing for patience bud.
He's happy with another project now. :smug:
mudlord can take poor Smiff's place and uh, help with the issues.

lol mine still wont work, ive pm'd mud, but im also having problems with the forum i have to keep reseting my password but when i change it, it never lets me log in.
think ive found the possible problem, when i became a beta member i used my work e-mail, i no longer work at that place so i changed my email to my home email but pj64 still shows as my work email.
but again its only newer versions that kick me out, im currently using 1.7.0.45which isnt bad just not as smooth as the newer version:(

mudlord will no longer be checking here.
The remaining ones who have this issue, try disabling your online connection so that the software can't contact the server.
If even that doesn't work it's possible you used the beta across too many machine addresses, so either send a message to user "zilmar". Or if you want to do things the hard way but get answered a lot faster, PM me.
There are many glitches concerning cookies. In my case, I just found that after changing my user name, an entire set of my old user name is stored as cookies for a separate account. I don't know anything about the randomization; I just put up with it. :P I should remember my passwords anyway.

meh, Wrong. Check the change logs for what happened after that beta, as well as the faulty experiments causing new issues.
If you want smoothness, betas aren't the way to go. General rule of thumb for you. ;)
