Trouble Calibrating Controller
I purchased a Komodo USB converter with the Psx/N64 controller ports. I was having trouble setting up the keys in my emulator so I tried to calibrate the controller. When looking at the 4 axis 16 button joystick properties page the buttons are going crazy. When I try to go through the calibration wizard it zips through it so fast I don't have time to read the steps, so I can't calibrate it. Also, I am using a Nintendo N64 controller.. not a Madcatz or off brand controller.
Does anyone have a fix to this issue? |

I believe it uses a HID which doesn't need drivers, or so said the internet. I did try going into device manager and updating drivers but it said they were up to date.

Also asking to verify what controller plugin and respective version in use.
|
I'm using the N64 controller plugin and I'm not sure what version of what you're asking about. If you're talking about project 64 I haven't even gotten there yet with the controller.
|
Um, I just meant the version of the controller plugin.
Options/Settings... in Project64, should tell you the name and version of the exact plugin for the "controller plugin" in use in the respective field. |
I've tried all of them.. but I usually keep it on N-rage V2 1.83. Whatever controller plug in I use in Project64 I get the same results. Under 'Test' in Game Controllers in my control panel, the axes are going all over the place. When I try to calibrate them, it goes through the wizard so fast I cant read what it says.

Try testing the 2.2 version of N-Rage instead of 1.83.
You can get it here. https://sourceforge.net/projects/nra...a.zip/download |

If it's sending a load of rubbish to the computer sounds like you definitely need drivers...? Definitely sounds like a controller/driver problem though, not going to be solved by more versions of N-rage... |
lol, if the wizard truly was auto-signaling itself like that, then I doubt there's anything we can do to help that :D that's like, severe malware and shit
So newer version of N-Rage, or it's beyond the scope of anything on this forum. :D |
