Why isn't there a plugin for rom loading

There should be a plugin for rom loading so rom loading can be replaced by n64DD emulation, other stuff that goes in the top or bottom cartridge slot.

But if an emulator is open source, why do you need plugins when you can just contribute to the existing source code, then everybody can use...

Hasn't N64 emulation matured? No plugins means you just have to look at one codebase instead of a lot of codebases which look different, uses different methods, etc.

Plugins makes everyone go into one side or another, there's no central repository to contribute to so one plugin may get bugfixes but the other may not, causing confusion everywhere. With the plugins...

Screw the plugin system.

Here's the problems with plugin systems:
1. If a user finds something broke with a plugin, he/she is more likely to start a new plugin than work on the existing plugin....
