I'd play the computer, but I don't want to play an online game, I love the feel of an actual board way too much :P

I had a computer chess board before, but it broke or something.

I have like, over 60 computer chess engines dude...the amount of experience I have playing other human beings at chess is miniscule XD. I have had very little regard for human thinking about chess, more interested in computers.

You could easily find a GUI chess board if you looked out there.

Well, if you want to play via an actual board so much,

We can just type the moves out on the forum, and you can play the moves physically on your board. I have a chess board on the cabinet next to me atm where I copy all my research positions.

That'd be better, actually. I have low will-power, so I don't like Having to set up that internet board all the time XD

Heck, I'll set up a server and we could play Chess in Minecraft XD

Except that that wouldn't be a real board.

Heh, not to-night though, I need to get to bed in a few minutes. I didn't get much sleep last night.

lmao what the hell...you're willing to set up some very technical chess board on Minecraft, but not a virtual chess board in online-sync software XD ?

Being lazy or being an otaku is one thing. I can't see what it has to with how reasonably we think.

Maybe that's just the part of me that drives other people crazy.

And yeah, sure. You at least acknowledged the easiness of the idea I gave. So whenever you're ready I guess.

I'm not an otaku. The definition even says something along the lines of Otaku's not being simply slightly socially awkward, highly intelligent people, which of course, I am one of those

I never thought you'd be an otaku either... you watch anime or something? Not like it matters, it's just entertainment.

Unless you go overboard, like an otaku or something.

heh.

I was kidding about the minecraft.

Is that a fact? I had no idea.

Honestly I wasn't well-versed as to the meaning behind being an otaku. My curiosity just knows no bounds.

I'm interested as to where you learned that definition.

Wasn't accusing you of being an otaku though XD.
And based on my legacy understand of being an otaku, it most probably is such that I am, but I am not rehearsably interactive with anime, manga, or cosplaying. Unintentionally though then maybe.

An otaku is just the Japanese term for a nerd.

Then there's otakyo or whatever which is something else, but I've forgotten.

Well I remember that it was natively considered an offensive term. The etymology or definitive explanation of the term I knew completely little about.

Well that's interesting that you've mentioned it. That related term as well if you'd happen to find I'd like to know about that as well. But I'll take whatever chance to change my judgment that I can get.

Oh, it's "wotaku" is the other term, and it's just an alternate of otaku.

Quote:
The term otaku is close in connotation to the English nerd, but the closest English-language analogue to otaku is probably the British English term anorak. Both of these English-language terms have more emphatically negative connotations of poor social skills and obsessive interest in a topic that seems strange, niche or boring to others. It is not applied to a socially awkward intelligent person who appears fairly "normal," and merely has an interest in certain typically 'geekish' pursuits (video games, comic books, computers, etc.).

That's what I anticipated. An alternative spelling basically.

Thanks for the excerpt, there. I see that being an otaku is not a very lenient "coincision" to have accomplished of yourself.

So you were right about the etymological comparison to "nerd". What was with the question of if I watch anime though? Did you guess I did by my having used a Japanese word I'm guessing?
