When I open Project64 it works just fine. The games run perfectly too, but when I tried to map the controls to my Xbox One controller it did not work. Someone, please help.

Fixed the Problem by using all information I found and tried everything. The Solution is pretty simple if you know it. Do not use the shortcut on the desktop or the start menu, by using them somehow the controller does not work.
Use the .exe file directly out of the installation folder and it will magically work. I do not know why, and honestly this is one of the stupidiest things I ever went into, but this should fix the problem |

Make sure you are using Nrage input plugin. Then go to configure input plugin. Make sure you choose Xbox controller from drop down menu and have "plugged" and "xinput " checked. From there you can set buttons to whatever you like. Hope that helps somebody.
