I was thinking about an idea to give PJ64 a bit more of an up to date look, by adding images of available games in your library, instead of having various text displayed. It gives PJ64 a more clean look with less clutter and a better overview of your games. See this image. So basically all you have to do is click on the game you want to play. What do you guys think?

That's what launchbox is for :P
n64 doesn't even have alot of games. Me, I only have 15 games myself that I like. I think it would be a waste and would prefer fixings on things that actually need fixing :P Here's an idea, per game configurations/plugins. And/Or, zooming feature to get rid of huge black borders that are seen on many games... Last edited by shinra358; 2nd December 2015 at 02:14 PM. |

The fact that ppl keep asking for it and have to keep turning to outside sources prove that the feature is needed. I can do it with reshade. But then, all games don't have bars so you'll end up with games with too much overscan along with the games with the fixed overscan...
Although it's probably better suited for the graphics plugin, but that's why I added the profile thing because you will need it to have different settings for each game if it was included in a graphics plugin to prevent said problem above. Last edited by shinra358; 2nd December 2015 at 06:53 PM. |

I do like box art ... but I do not want to distribute it either, it is still copyrighted .. so I can not directly include it with the emu, so for the feature to be useful people would have to provide there own box art. Does not really help much then.
Unless you know a good free service that is already providing the art ? |

I believe there are services that provide something like that.

Yes, box art is a good idea for PJ64. I remember that Surreal64 for the original XBOX has this feature and looks very nice.
