Controller Issue

When I open Project64 it works just fine. The games run perfectly too, but when I tried to map the controls to my Xbox One controller it did not work. Someone, please help.

Did you enable xinput?

Where do you find xinput? Also I am german, but I have an American copy.

There is a checkbox at the top of the n-rage plugin.

Hi! I have the same problem. I'm using a generic USB joystick but isn't recognized by emulator. I not understand the problem

Hey Guys I have the same problem. I tried my wired xbox one controller, but did not get it working in PJ64 2.3
I figured it might be a controller problem and ordered a new one with bluetooth compability. But still I can not get it working in PJ64 2.3
I tried PJ64 1.6 there I can configure the controller by pressing any key on the controller and the Emulator recognizes it, unfortunately PJ64 1.6 crashes whenever I try to load a ROM.
I googled for almost 5 ours and found over 30 post where people had the same problem, but I never found a solution.
Last hope is registering to this forum and hope to find a solution here.

And to make it clear, the controller works in any game and emulator but the PJ64 2.3

I got a retrolink Gamecube usb controller and not getting detected it works well with Dolphin tough

Fixed the Problem by using all information I found and tried everything. The Solution is pretty simple if you know it. Do not use the shortcut on the desktop or the start menu, by using them somehow the controller does not work.
Use the .exe file directly out of the installation folder and it will magically work.
I do not know why, and honestly this is one of the stupidiest things I ever went into, but this should fix the problem
