Question Goldeneye minor issue

Problem: When you play Goldeneye and change your weapon, a micro-stutter will appear every time. You can see it by running and change constantly the weapon by pressing "A" button.

Note: Tested with many 2.0.2 versions and newest versions of 2.0.3 git.

Specs:

Win10 x64
i74790k
16 GB DDR3
GTX 970

Nope, it doesn´t work with Rice, in fact, it crashes the emulator.

PS: Tested with Rice 0.4.4

I get it too. The display halts for a fraction of a second when changing weapon.

Tried many combinations of plugins, all exhibit the same behaviour.

V/I's remain at 60 during the micro freeze.

Best level to test is Surface I found.

Setting Counter Factor to 1 helps. The higher the CF value, the longer the freeze on changing weapons.

This is weird.

With Glide64, you can see the resolution change for the textures when changing weapon. Every time you change, it switches to lowest res when putting gun away, then highest res when pulling the next gun out. The sniper butt stays on low res.

With Glide64 Final, and nGlide 1.05, there is no stutter. But LOD doesn't appear correct. The trees are too high res.
But it doesn't switch texture res on changing weapons with nGlide.

Also turning off LOD in Glide64 will stop the stutter, at the expense of showing only the most detailed level of textures.

EDIT:
Glide64 Final was defaulting to LOD off when using nGlide. I was changing the settings after End Emulation. So nGlide does have the stutter as well with LOD on fast or precise.
