Default Battletanx cutscene transition speed too slow

During the story mode cutscenes, when the game is transitioning between in-game cutscenes to the artwork-based cutscenes, there is a noticeably long delay, much longer than it took on native N64 hardware.

Wondering if this is a core emulation issue, or if there's some game-specific emulation settings that can be adjusted to make the experience more accurate.

It's a very sensitive game to changes.

It doesn't boot at all when changing counter factor from 3 to 2 or 1.

Also tried default counter factor 3 and overclock modifier set to 2. Doesn't boot.

The only change that works is changing the VI refresh rate.
Try setting it to 2200. Seems too fast to me, story boards go by too quick to read. It needs someone to adjust the VI refresh rate to get the correct timing.

You need to experiment with it to get the correct timing.

The VI refresh rate only affects how quickly the text is displayed; it doesn't affect how quickly the art-based cutscenes load.
