Issues with majora's mask and donkey kong 64

anytime I try to play majora's mask or a romhack, it says that i need the expansion pak. it did the same thing with donkey kong 64, but then i figured out how to start it up. but then it started an infinite loop of the character spawning on and off.

You have to enable advanced settings then change the memory size to 8mb in the game settings (you have to do this for each game), the real question is why isn't this default?

yeah i know. I did that already. it just isn't working anyway. idk why but dk 64 works, but just gets caught in an infinite loop of the character spawning in with a black screen.

Can you show what you mean by the characters looping?
