Hey,
I know it's a common issue but I could not understand how other people managed to work around it. Problem: crashes at barn after talking with the pitchfork. Error text: "Unhandled r4300i OpCode at 150AE1D8... stopped emulation!" The thing people keep suggesting in different forums is: disable register caching or run the game from the interpreter. Thing is: how do you exactly disable register caching? Or run it from the interpreter? I'm using the latest version of Project64 -- version 2.0. If it matters -- I'm running windows 7 64bit, cpu -- i5 3470 cpu @ 3.2GHz. I'd adore you if you could help solve the problem )) Thanks. |

Try enabling protect memory.
I randomly stumbled on a page from here by google'ing it. |

Right click the game in the PJ64 list and click edit game settings.
You will find "protect memory" in the recompiler tab. Enable it and try getting through the barn. Register Caching is also in those settings. Hope this stops the crashing for you. Last edited by retroben; 18th February 2014 at 01:36 AM. |

I'm sorry but I don't know what I'm doing wrong Oo When I right click the game, these are the options I get: Conker.jpg
Pretty much just play/refresh... cannot see any edit option? Thanks so much for replying. |

Go to options and untick "Hide advanced settings" and try again

Hey, it worked! It did reveal the other options, and then unticking "register caching" averted the crash!
