Not a bad idea, so long as there's enough folks who are willing to properly submit bug reports. After dissatisfaction with my M64+ and PJ64 setups I've considered compiling from source myself to see what improvements have been made, but binaries straight from the devs would be fantastic.

I'm not sure overclocking is a good idea considering the fact it can and will have side effects. We've got enough problems from counter factor jank.

Time would be better spent fixing bugs and improving timing, rather than adding more hacks. I think I'm going to try looking into figuring out how to improve audio. Should be easier than my other 2 goals ![]() |

There is the small matter of heaps of games being broken without fixed audio timing but stuttery with it enabled. There's also the curious matter of Knife Edge: Nose Gunner running super fast some reason. Be interesting to find out why. |

I certainly hope zilmar doesn't bother adding OC to PJ64 anytime soon. There are so many more important things that need to be fixed!
zilmar, before I begin doing further investigation on that potential memory leak in PJ64 RSP recompiler, would you mind if I got rid of some redundant code? I don't think ClearX86Code() needs to be in RomOpen(), since it's already in RomClosed() (which is reliable enough). It may be a little OCD, but sometimes, redundancy can be confusing to me. Sometimes I ask myself, "where should X functionality go" when working on a plugin. I feel like cleaning / optimizing code can sometimes help me understand it better. Quote:
