I've been trying to make some videos of Project64 running, used a program called CamStudio, it captures an area of the screen. The audio and video are way out of sync, but not consistently. I can use the same settings 3 times, sometimes audio would be 2 seconds behind after just 10 seconds, other times its different. So no adjusting for sync option works either.
Can anyone recommend a (good) free capture program? Cheers. |

Just tried HyperCam2. Same, if not even worse than CamStudio. After 2 minutes, video is 15 seconds ahead of the audio.
Guess my PC isn't upto it. |

Virtualdub has video capture but needs the VFW driver installed.
Hope it works if you decide to try it out. Edit: Tutorials for Virtualdub video capturing are everywhere, good luck! Last edited by retroben; 1st March 2015 at 07:43 PM. |

I don't think there is a good video recorder on win32.
I've tried nearly all of those mentioned, and they all suck and make everything hard for people who want a free solution. FRAPS on the other hand (which isn't freeware) I tested, but no longer works anymore on my new computer and just records every single video upside-down which is f@#$ing weird and annoying.
