if I start project64 in the steam for big picture mode then I get exception caught main.cpp line 88
Why?

Probably a file permission problem, because it's in Program Files.

Move it to C:\Project64 2.3, or User\Project64 2.3.

I didn't think you could use command line to open roms with pj64.

I'm having the same issue, I've tried moving the Project 64 folder out of the "Program Files" directory but still no luck.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have the same issue lol, i wiped my entire computer except my ROM library, and my PJ64 file got wiped. Tried to download it again, and this happened...

I am not a very big tech guy and i don't understand this alien language so please help
