IDK what that is, but there's a configuration to use associated extensions in 1.6. The shell integration got removed from 1.7 though since zilmar gathered it was something people were not really needing to use much.

And there are other extensions, too, like BIN that were not listed.

.bin files are not always n64 rom files.

This is for a .reg file, save the text as .reg and run it.

That's good to know. That would be the shell integration feature I've read.

And ROM files are not always N64 ROM files.

USA, JAP, EUR, those aren't always N64 ROMs either.

Not even Z64, V64, or N64 are necessarily N64 ROM files. There's nothing preventing reservation for some other software to use those extensions.

BIN has actually been a very popular file extension for N64 ROMs. It was a supported extension in Project Unreality as well, the first public N64 emulator.
