Default vistor messages disabled

ok I should have done this a long time ago, but disabled some of the features for user profile.

The visitor messages we being used for spam more often than not, so disabled them, you should be able to PM each other if need be or talk in the main forum.

Any issue with this?

I hate visitor messages. I always disable them in my profile options when I register on a vBulletin 4+ forum, if the version is new enough to have redundant features like that added to it.

XD except when I was using them to harass ExtremeDude2 because then he couldn't reply back. Because I always had VMs disabled.

Okay, well I personally didn't spam, but I did have a link to a controller driver for Xbox One RUMBLE in my profile page. So I am guilty of that. So, I guess here would be as good a place as any, but how do I go about posting genuine relevant links that would enhance user experience with the emulator. I've used the "insert link" option only to be prompted upon completion that moderators would look at it (which I get). What is that process and how long does it take to look at, verify, and approve a thread with a link before going "live". I still have the link in my profile under bio for those who continue to visit the thread, but any help in simply having the link in the thread itself would be great.
