![]() ![]() You are not serious about this?! To be able to download even the public 1.6 we have to take a survey now or some random bs? Whoever thought that idea was a good one really needs to take a moment to rethink that.(I'm being nice) Okay this project has been like getting no updates for years now and this secret 1.7 has been really a joke. Two years since you updated the news and it has nothing to do with the project itself, don't get me wrong congrads to the guy for getting engaged but I kind think it really has no place on an emulating site, it would be more suitable perhaps on facebook or some personal blog. If you guys want to keep this emulator a secret and non public, suit yourself but you really have lost my respect as a user of this emulator, especially after seeing the download section for the FREE 1.6. I'm moving over to something open source that is actually being worked on and I don't have pay to get something and I can actually even contribute to it. I know you guys have RL but seriously? This long, 2 years since even a decent news update? Its very redundant. Project64 has lost its luster. |

its called, people have lives and don't need to be fulfilling the wishes of pj64 users. this survey is only there because the site has been hacked. there are plenty of posts regarding this issue and the download link has been provided by zilmar himself.
also, open-source mupen64plus rubbish doesn't even have a GUI... |

1964 is actually pretty good, has a gui, runs things pretty correctly and is open source.
![]() http://code.google.com/p/emu-1964/ Also if the site has been hacked, shouldn't they try fixing it? O.o Last edited by Zeth Alkar; 14th June 2010 at 04:43 AM. |

Having AdBlock or not isn't the problem here, the problem is that the survey is even there to begin with. Up until the survey appeared, I used to have AdBlock disabled on the website because ad supported web-pages need ads viewed in the first place and I want to support that way. Sure there are donations but that is not a regular source, and if it was it doesn't seem like it is now with all the questions if one should. Basically all was fine with the ads just sitting in the pages not intruding me at all, then this survey appears and destroys that peace.
EDIT: IF the survey is to stay, having a "Do not wish to participate" option is severely needed. Last edited by Truth Unknown; 14th June 2010 at 06:09 PM. |

its probably actually the Ad itself, and not something zilmar's done.
sometimes the ad supplier changes how ads render and it can really piss an admin off.

Actually Zilmar. That might be a good alternative to offer the beta membership. Give the option of either donating x amount of monies as you do, or, the option of filling out a paid survey (do not limit people by having those credit card forms, most people will not benefit). That way, you can either be lazy and donate directly, or if that isn't an option, you can fill out a survey (maybe 30 minutes of your time) where the proceeds go to PJ64 and you get your beta membership. People who are actually willing to give honest feedback from the beta are more likely to take the time to fill said survey out.
Anyone else like that idea? Zillz how about you (if you even see this xD)?
