Default Bomberman 64 The Second Attack Graphical Issues

So I'm playing Bomberman 64: The Second Attack on what I think is the latest version of Project 64 (2.0), and I've run into some graphical problems I can't seem to fix. I've messed around in the settings and pre-packaged plugins a bit, but to no avail.

Up until this particular level, the glitches were only confined to certain items or objects in one or two places in a level being invisible, such as some of the soft blocks, or pushable obstacles, basically being replaced by a hole with their shape that you can see the background of the stage or area through, but now it seems to have taken out a good 90% of the background AND the things on screen, and turned it completely black.

And despite what I do or which of the graphics plugins I use (Glide64, Direct64, and the 3 versions of Jabo's Direct 3D), I can't seem to fix it. Is this just a problem with the ROM I'm using, or are there some settings I can try that could fix it, or what? It was a negligible annoyance before, but now it's making the game nigh unplayable, which really sucks :/

Is it? I could've sworn I was up to date, must be pretty recent...

Anyway, I downloaded and installed 2.1, but it hasn't made much of a difference, I'm still having the same graphical issues :/
