Save Transferal Problem (Need Help)

I had been playing Ocarina of Time on my computer, and recently due to not being at home, I've transferred the save to my girlfriends laptop. I got home and tried to transfer the save back to my computer, but after copying and pasting the save file over the old one on my computer it's still my old save! I cut and pasted, so the old save on the emu on my girlfriends laptop is gone, but I can still play as if there was a save there, but in my save folder its not. Is there any hope of retrieving my save file and restoring it to my own computer? Please help! This is the first time I've gotten so far without using cheats, so I don't wanna lose this save! lol
