I'd use the RSS feed if there was actually more then one update once a quarter :P Once development becomes more active I'll be using the RSS.

I do use RSS reader to keep up to date, always. It's far easier than checking periodically for new updates on my favorite websites, specially since I have several favorite websites and from time to time I lose track of some of them.
