Default How do I get Project 64 (and Dolphin) to work on my computer?

I was able to do so only last month, in December... and now, since I had to get a new computer, Project 64 fails to load as does Dolphin. I think it's related to the same issue.

With Project 64, the pop-up says:

"Failed to initialize DirectX
Error code 8876086A

"Cannot open a ROM because plugins have not successfully initialized."

Likewise, for Dolphin, it says:

"Failed to enumerate adapters."

I have no idea what is causing this... here is my system specs.

Windows 7 Home Premium

Rating: 1.0 Windows Experience Index
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-2600 CPU @ 3.40GHz 3.40GHz
Installed memory (RAM): 12.0 GB (3.17 GB usable)
System type: 32-bit Operating System

And it ran the roms just fine on the one I had last month. Now what? What do I do? It also won't play the KOTOR games. If needs be, I could go try and install that, and write down what it tells me if you need further specs on my computer?

The version of PJ64 I got is v.2.3.2-202-g57a 221e.
And then also dolphin-x86-4.0.2

This has nothing to do with pj64, dolphin etc. You have somehow uninstalled DX or something along those lines.

I see! Well, how do I resolve it? I'm not a computer nerd. Hold on, lemme go install and see what happens...

I was installing DirectX SDK. And this popped up:

"An internal system error occurred.
Please refer to DXError.log and DirectX.log in your Windows folder to determine problem."

And then it basically cuts to "installation failed."

Now what?

Does anyone know how to help me with this DirectX issue? I can run you through everything my computer does. Again, I am NOT a technical expert. I just wanna play N64 and GameCube games.
