Default RetroLink N64 Controller Help!

I recentley got a Nintendo 64 USB controller from Retrolink. It didnt work at first, but then it started working, except for the analog stick. In the calibration menu in Windows, it thinks that the D-Pad is the analog stick. It is frustrating me because I want to do a livestream of Ocarina of Time, and I dont have a controller to do it with Any help?

Anyone else still having this issue? I know it's been a problem for months but I have yet to see a remedy for it.

I've tried motionjoy, nrage, the drivers that came with the disc, and every combination of them and the closest I can get to it working is having everything BUT the analog stick working.

I'm using windows 8.1
for the record, the controller worked perfectly fine for windows 7.

bumping this for relevance' sake
