The netplay plugin was originally a personal project I never planned on releasing to the public. I purposely disabled the memory pak because none of the games I wanted to play require it, and I was worried about desyncs. However, I have the next couple of weeks off, so I might look into it. No promises though.

Also, I don't deserve any of the credit for how well games stay synced when using my plugin. All of that credit goes to the authors of Project64 1.7.
However, it's a big improvement compared to the Kaillera modification.

Memory pak support is really important to me, many games are only half as fun without a savefunction.
For example, Turok 2, Turok 3 and Turok Rage Wars are horrible without a memory pak, you have to configure the analogstick sensitivity every time, also you can't save your netplay Co-op progress (Rage Wars) which kills the fun for these classical games.

So I would be so thankful if you can make it work.

Which games to you play in Dolphin that stay synced? I tried Dolphin's netplay a few months ago with Mario Party 6, but it desynced after not too long.
I play Smash Bros. Melee, Naruto Gekitou Ninja Taisen 4 and Naruto Shippuuden Gekitou Ninja Taisen Special online.
Thanks to an USB Gecko and Wii Homebrew, I ripped my original savestates from my NGC memory card to the PC.
The memory card savestates sync 100% as long as every person got the same save.

Here are some videos I recorded back then:

Smash Bros. Melee (all characters & stages unlocked)
youtube.com/watch?v=jfd8DrbdK8c
youtube.com/watch?v=c6I2Bd0zwcE
(The voice you hear is the Fox player, my little nephew. It's always funny when he get's angry xD)

Naruto Gekitou Ninja Taisen 4 (all characters & stages unlocked)
youtube.com/view_play_list?p=3004182FDFC31808

And because I'm (still) the only person on youtube who is able to show off some working netplay videos with these games, I made a tutorial:
willvolution.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=9611&start=0

It seems that I can't direct link, (too few comments) so I had to write it all over again.

If you need someone to test Dolphin Netplay, you can pm me and I will help you with setting up things if something's not clear enough on my tutorial.
Oh, and for Mario Party 6, I think you have to disable the dual core option (only a few games stay on sync with dual core enabled).

Any chance the plugin will ever work with Jabo's 1.7?

I don't know. Right now Jabo's 1.7 plugins don't work with any emulators other than Project 64 1.7. Since the way my plugin works is by pretending to be an emulator, Jabo's 1.7 input plugin doesn't work with my plugin.

I'm not sure if there is a need to use Jabo's DirectInput 1.7 except for beta-testing Project64.

He's always let us known upon updates, so I'm sure that if he decides to implement it he will say the update. The only multiplayer N64 game I've ever owned to use the memory pak for data used in multiplayer mode was Penny Racers...oh and technically Bomberman 64 counts as well.

+
Armorines
Turok 3
Turok Rage Wars

(no savefunction in co-op campaign, no savefunction for analogstick sensitivity, achivements, skins, characters).

ISS64, ISS98, ISS2000 suffers also without the option to edit/create your players and I believe every EA game required the memory pak.
