Default Help with HD texture pack for OoT?

Hello!

I've recently become interested in Djipi's HD texture pack, and, long story short, I cannot for the life of me get it to work.

I've gone through the tutorial here: https://goo.gl/tPXgAV
I did everything the person in the video did, I used the same Project64 version and all. (ver. 2.2)

First, my game crashed due to having the "Enable hardware lighting" setting on.
Then, when it actually did run, the textures were not all loaded in and a lot of stuff was missing. It was completely unplayable.

I don't know if it is my computer, (because it is pretty low-end), or if I'm just cursed to never play this amazing game with HD textures.

As the video showed, I was using the "GLide64 Public Release 1" graphics plugin.

Laptop specs:
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-4005U CPU @ 1.70GHz 4.00 GB
Graphics card: Intel(R) HD Graphics Family

Textures download: https://goo.gl/cYrosK
*not a direct download

The ROM I used: https://goo.gl/rvjXHV
*also not a direct download

If anyone can help with this I would be so grateful!
Thank you!

Try this experimental version of GLideN64 for better speed with Intel HD Graphics:
https://github.com/gonetz/GLideN64/p...ment-309282558
Or download my renamed version of same here:
GLideN64 Threaded 11
Put it in Project64\Plugin\GFX

Select GLideN64 Threaded 11 plugin in Project64, and start any game, open graphics config, check Enable threaded video.
Click OK and then close Project64.

Drag the cache folder from the zip into Project64\Plugin\GFX.

Start Project64, start OoT.

Open graphics config and select Texture enhancement tab, then select Texture pack tab.

Check Use full transparencies (recommended for newer texture packs).

Click OK.

Pack will now load.

Edit: Check the github thread above every few days, for updates to this plugin, as it's a little unstable switching plugins at the moment. But I get 2.5 times the speed vs the normal GLideN64 with Intel HD Graphics in Perfect Dark.

If you have problems with the threaded video plugin.

The latest official WIP version of GLideN64 by Gonetz is here:
https://github.com/gonetz/GLideN64/i...ment-309463779

It has a fix for OoT going black and white. And the tooltips disappear properly in the config.

Oh, good, thank you again. ^^

Also... Is there any reason why the emulator crashes if I turn on anti-aliasing?

Was a problem since Public Release. It should be fixed in latest WIP link ("OoT Ending Screen Freeze Effect Color Wrong and Doesn't Work With AA") I posted above. If you still have problem with Antialising, post a message in that thread above.

Threaded plugin is 2 days old. Fix for AA in OoT is only 1 day old.

Hmmm. Is that in the fixed GLideN64 rev.a6babb4 version?

Does it work in the GLideN64 Threaded 11 version?

Both work fine for me, I never had problem with AA. I have Intel(R) HD Graphics as well. But I have older Pentium N3540 processor in my laptop. Yours is newer. Maybe try updating your Intel graphics driver.

Edit:
Also, make sure you haven't checked Enable N64-style depth compare (experimental). It's not compatible with Anti-aliasing.

It's alright. The graphics look great even without AA. ^^
The slight blur is barely noticeable anyways.

I really do appreciate all your help!
Thank you kindly once again. :3

*EDIT
Changing the internal resolution to a multiple of the N64 resolution at the halfway mark makes the graphics completely sharp, so it's as if I have AA on anyway. ;3
