So we've troubleshot some more and narrowed it down to a problem with Windows 8.1 and memcpy.

with
Code:
		for (j = 0 ; j < Count; j++)
		{
			for (i = 0 ; i < Length; i++)
				Dest[i] = Source[i];
			Source += Length;
			Dest += Skip;
		}

msvcr120 implementation of memcpy is doing something external on the kernel libs level to the barebones `for' loop that pj recompiler/Protect Memory doesn't get along with.
