Play with the "crop" function.

How old are you, btw? Age, and emulation knowledge age? This should help give me more parameters of the level of support I will need to give you.

I know that emulators don't usually think about how an enduser thinks, but GLideN64 does an OK job imo.
Book recommendation!

The bars on the top and bottom you're trying to get rid of?
You can use crop for the height. But it doesn't get rid of them entirely. Best you'll get is top filled but bottom has thin black bar.

Stretch should probably fill the top and bottom of the screen.

It would be better if the Stretch option had another option to keep aspect ratio or not. So the entire screen could be filled.

And then maybe if the 'keep aspect ratio was checked, have a zoom option. To allow you to zoom the display until the black bars disappear. Which is basically what the display was like on an old CRT TV. Old TV's you could never see the L/R edges of the true display, it was zoomed in a bit.

Good idea?
