Default Hi-res icon

I made one using HQx, but I'd like to know if a 256x256 PJ64 logo exists.

This makes me ask the question, how did the logo come to be?

There was a thread on EmuTalk asking about a replacement to the primitive "PJ64" icon used before 1.7. jahra!n posted something he did there and zilmar liked it, so that's why he's in the About/credits now.

Oh yeah, I've seen that thread on Emutalk. I remember there was some moron who posted some of the shittiest logo attempts I've ever seen, and when everyone questioned if he was serious or just trolling, he was like "well I didn't put my full efforts into it because it's just a N64 emu, so who cares? It would probably get shut down by Nintendo in any moment so I don't want to start designing a logo for it and then find out the emu is no more" or some bullshit like that. Then the community was like "ok then. show us your true skillz" and he replied that he posted his logos in graphic design forum and the people there told him his logos were shit (but in a nice way) and the people there suggested him to buy the non-designers book, so he would know what he was "missing out" about graphic design.

I don't remember anything about that. Sounds like a pokefan alt though lmao.

Must be because I've all but wiped my memory half-clean with the kinds of crap I posted on that forum. I do remember trying to suggest zilmar to use sprite rips from games. But if somebody there posted something really screwed up, might or might not be me because I can't remember.

Is it time for a new logo or is zilmar happy with this one?

And so, the PJ64 logo was born.

(look at the post after it, that's the guy I'm talking about).
