Default Alpha Blending only on 2D Elements (such as HUD)

Would it be possible to add an option to use alpha blending on 2D elements, while avoiding it on 3D elements. This would remove the black mess around things like the HUD, but keep the ground opaque in games like SM64. I have no idea about the inner workings of PJ64 so I have no idea if this is possible, but I thought I may as well suggest it here.

Seeing as Jabo's graphics plugin is no longer in development, probably not.
But afaik black garbage around hud elements (especially on SM64) is a Jabo issue and may be resolved by using an alternative graphics plugin (Glide64 or Rice for example)
