2nd player/controller issue.

Greetings.

I have the emulator and many of the games from the Vimm's Lair site for the N 64. The games appear to play fine in one player mode, but for some reason I cannot get the 2nd player/controller to work. Do I have to set the controller up? If so could you provide me a little direction...
