Some games have bugs?

it doesn't unlock the alternative tune. you're right. However, the alternative audio should be in 1.0 gold and 1.1 grey. Don't know about 1.0 grey. removed in 1.2. don't know how to unlock it though. the crooked cartridge trick is to access the debug menu.

i don't think it can be unlocked, you'd have to use an emulator after manually programming the game to point to the old chant, which may not even exist in the rom anymore :/

personally i think the music was a lot more dignified with the old chant

you can download roms 1,0 1.1 and 1.2.

1.0 can be grey or gold and one may not have the alternative. 1.1 is the best because there is only grey and it has the alternative. it would probably need to be modified like you said.

the alternative would stand out because it is the only one which would have vocals in a non musical way if you know what i mean. that's probably why they changed it. matches the rest of the dungeons.
