i just want to say something to everyone.

"warez" is not "cool", people who think it is will realise this when they get older and grow out of it (hopefully). i register all the software where i value the developer's time (for example, i have paid for ZoomPlayer, and GameEx, and other such applications, even though i didn't have to, or i use free software (or i do both!). i expect the same in return. just so people don't think there's some double standard operating here. if you don't want to donate for 1.7x, dont, we give away 1.6 with no strings attached and will do the same for 1.7x when its finished.

I'm going to start clamping down on these discussions (locking threads, banning people earlier) because they're not doing anyone any good are they?

And you aren't expected to pay for anything. This is supposed to be a donation.

The reason for that is not just the simple idea of motivation for continuous working on the project when you "pay" them: Wouldn't it make sense that if the team received more from working on Project64 than in their life work? They could actually possibly like go back to working on Project64 full time right? Doesn't everyone want that?

That's probably why the idea of donating started.

Well there are too many issues to have only one solution here.

We have those who value the project and wish to contribute somehow, either by donating (as I proudly have), or by giving valuable feedback or suggestions, and then we have those who do not have donating capabilities because they are too young to make such transactions (or simply they are in times of hardship, sorry if that's true ), but them we have those who want to find every which way possible to get around the easiest way possible and feel like they need to cheat the system somehow, or at least achieve a status of adrenaline as they feel like they have gotten a one up on everybody...

Firstly before I go on, I just want to say that I am sorry to see Mudlord get banned and Smiff I'm sure that was hard seeing as he was a valuable member and friend for the longest time .

All I can say is, and I have said this many times before, that for those who cannot donate for whatever reason the case may be, then please PLEASE don't feel like you are missing out, and just stick with the 1.6 version (honestly, that is the one I use personally because it is stable and works good enough to satisfy the salivating need for 2x RC P90 busting up all those enemies all in one fell swoop) Really the beta versions are for those who either are interested in helping somehow, or just enjoy seeing its progress. Now if you cannot donate and feel that ambition to just do something with PJ64, try playing around with the PJ64 1.4 source code and good luck to ye.

If you can donate but refuse to, or are not sure whether it's worth it or not, well please do consider that there are no hard feelings if you don't donate, but by doing so you really are recognized and it feels good to know that you have done the right thing and at least showed that author's that you appreciate their hard work and give them more incentive to work on the project and take valued time out of their already busy lives...

Honestly though, if that hasn't convinced you, just wait until the Project 64 "Finale" (1.7) comes out and You'll be fine!

You're really banning Mudlord of all people for letting some cheapskate get to him? Hell, I've donated multiple times and still feel I haven't done enough. These kind of people that want everything for free and offer nothing in return just disgust me.

If pirates are killing PC gaming, people like this are killing the emulation scene (at least the N64 emulation scene).

Edit: Disregard that, screw you mudlord.

right, this is overdue for locking.

Wesker, has anyone PMed you about what happened? sent me a msg if you're not sure, thanks.

@everyone,
you have to do something deliberately to really disrespect everyone here to get banned from pj64 (and you have to know better, for example Crispy won't be banned for asking for the beta even though that might be annoying to me). mudlord really did that. no one gets banned just for having an argument because they're upset for some reason. so don't worry, PM me if you're not sure about something.
