So here I be. I was thinking about donating. Is Zilmar still alive?

Well he made a surprise 2.0/2.1 release in April 2013 closed the donation program was active some 3 months or so and has since disappeared, who knows when he has the urge to work on PJ64 again
![]() You could let PJ64 2.0 install some of its adware if you intend to support him via that ![]() |

yes
a standard day on these forums consists of 1) "halp pj64 2.1 not workin games run to fast help m3 ![]() ![]() ![]() 2) pj64 fanboys who refuse to acknowledge the existence of other, better n64 emulators 3) people with ridiculously good computers that somehow struggle with a program that works fine on a pentium III i win |

Lol what? 2.1's the best version... The code in 2.1 is much cleaner than 1.6. I admit I liked 1.6's gui, but 2.1 has better performance.
I agree with point # 2. Lol at mac users going through hoops just to use pj64... I'd rather stick to native emulators even if they are worse. |

Correct me if I'm wrong, But isn't 2.1 (slower) due to it being more accurate? Only n64 games i played were both Zeldas so i've zero clue about other games. But they have given me no problems and run flawlessly with their respective texture packs.
If it is more accurate i sadly see people posting this all the time on other forums (PCSX2 and Dolphin notably) people complaining that they can't emulate anymore due to a recent change, I always want to say "Sorry the devs actually care about accurate emulation, buy a computer that doesn't suck or the console" haha |

depends what you mean by "more accurate"
2.1 plays some games faster or slower than actual console (sometimes in excess of 50% faster) because zilmar set a default value for VI and AI rates without testing games individually, so users have to go in and change shit, when really, they can just use 1.6 or 1.7 or one of the other perfectly competent n64 emulators |
